A few years back during a local singing competition the band invited me to sing a few songs. To help others in the crowd get over there nerves and hop up and sing a few. The hostess of the show had complained that no one was singing any Christmas Songs. I went home that night and wrote this little number and then played it for her at the same venue the following week. After listening to the song she proclaimed that it was the saddest Christmas song she had ever heard. Guess I was depressed that holiday season.....
This season (2004) Christmas In My Mind is part of a compilation we have put together and have shipped to Americana radios stations that play and feature country music throughout the United States.
